Six years of war and part of territory annexed by Russia – these factors form new Ukrainian reality. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, which was broadcasted live by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"The war in my country is going on for the six years. The sixth year as Russia annexed part of our territory. Despite thousands of pages of international law. This is our new reality," the President of Ukraine said.

Zelensky believes that expressing "concerns" and "apprehensions" is not enough for the world.

"Yes, the world has rallied around dealing with these issues. But would be enough for Ukrainians, victims and those who have lost their homes to get all the “concerns” and “apprehensions”. It would not, and that is true. And it is only one of the examples, which indicate that the current state of architecture of the world is, unfortunately, vulnerable. And the existing institutions are not operating as efficiently as it is required," Zelensky stated.

According to the Ukrainian president, the world needs to understand it and update the rules, especially the rules of international protection.
