President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky proposed to suspend environmental inspection in seaports for two months until the new parliament passes the necessary laws, Interfax reported.

Zelensky believes that there will be no harm as a result of the termination of the inspection.

"I understand, these are normal ideas, let us consider them. There will be a new parliament, these laws will be passed, all eco laws will be passed. But for now, this is a normal decision. Law enforcement agencies will now help us with this situation, and you can still prohibit entry. We have two months, I think no one will suffer in these two months,” said Volodymyr Zelensky.

It is also known that Zelensky did not agree with the opinion that such actions may adversely affect the ecology of the Black Sea.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stopped all inspections at ports due to corruption. He also called on the National Police to investigate cases of bribery at the State Environmental Inspectorate.

Soon, the coordinator of the Logistics Committee of the European Business Association, Yaryna Skorokhod, said that the order of interaction between state authorities to ensure compliance with environmental legislation in ports could be adopted by the Cabinet in the near future. This will be the first step in order to regulate the actions of the State Environmental Inspectorate in the ports and remove the corruption component.
