“The President presented to his counterpart the Ukrainian initiative as regards the support for Ukraine’s future membership in the European Union by the EU member states and urged Romania to join a number of countries whose presidents have already signed such bilateral documents with Ukraine,” the message said.
Zelensky noted that it will be a significant contribution of Romania along with other states-members of the EU in the support of the European prospect of the Ukrainian state.
The last country that signed the declaration on the European prospect of Ukraine was Latvia.
On May 3, the joint declaration was signed by the leaders of Ukraine and Poland on Warsaw's support for Kyiv's European aspirations.
Lithuania was the first country to sign the joint declaration states support of the European prospect of Ukraine.
