President-elect of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky would not present his team, particularly, the candidates for the main posts until the inauguration, as Ukrayinska Pravda reported citing screenwriter of “Servant of the People” TV show Yury Kostyuk.
Answering the question, when the presenting of Zelensky’s team, particularly candidates for Head of the Security Service, Prosecutor General’s Office, Defense Ministry, and others, will take place, Kostyuk said: “As soon as the team enters the Administration of the President, the access to the particular information will appear.”
He confirmed that it is not planned to call these names before the inauguration.
“We cannot call the head of the Security Service or prosecutor general because it is one case to call a person and another one to appoint a person. We do not possess resources to fully check people as it should be done; to check whether they have relatives in Russia, which background they have and what is their real biography,” Kostyuk explained.
He expressed the position that the candidates for the mentioned posts should be checked not only by the representatives of the special services but also by public activists.
“Today, the public activists are trusted by the society more and they find the skeletons in the closet better than anyone else. So, when the full check is done, we will call these people,” he added.
On April 30, the Central Election Commission announced the results of the second round of the presidential elections in Ukraine in 2019. Volodymyr Zelensky won the presidential run with 73,22% of the votes. Petro Poroshenko got 24,45% of the votes.
Earlier we reported that the inauguration of Volodymyr Zelensky will take place with some surprises.
