President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Volodymyr Yelchenko. This was reported by the press service of the president.

"During the meeting, prospects for the further development of Ukrainian-American relations were discussed," the statement said.

The President emphasized the need to increase US investment in the Ukrainian economy.

On Friday, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov and the Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza discussed a strategic project. The main objective of the project is to improve security in Ukraine by supporting local strategic reform through the development of the police. 

The parties also discussed joint counteraction to drug trafficking, liberalization of the visa regime with Canada, as well as cooperation in the field of reforming the National Police and the National Guard.
