Zelensky meets with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven, Office of the President of Ukraine reports.

"The Head of State met with the Prime Minister on the porch of the Mariinsky Palace and then escorted the guest to the hall where the delegation of Sweden and Ukraine will meet. After a one-on-one meeting between the President of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Sweden is held, Swedish-Ukranian negotiations under the chairmanship of Volodymyr Zelensky and Stefan Löfven are expected to take place,” the message informs.

Löfven intends to discuss the Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea with the Ukrainian leadership. During the meeting of the leaders of the two countries the program of Ukraine’s reforms and Sweden’s support of them, trade issues, Ukraine’s relations with the European Union will also be discussed.

As we reported earlier, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković accepted the invitation of the head of the Ukrainian state, Volodymyr Zelensky, to visit Ukraine. The press service of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Dmytro Kuleba informed about it.

During Kuleba’s visit to Croatia, it became known that Plenković would arrive in Ukraine in the first half of 2020, during the Croatian presidency of the EU Council.
