President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to meet his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin any time as RIA News reported citing Zelensky’s Spokesperson Serhiy Nikoforov.

On the question, whether some preparation for the possible meeting is held, Nikiforov answered: “Ask your president”.

The Office of the President of Ukraine believes that the Kremlin “without any half-tone” hates Zelensky as RIA News reported.

Besides, in July, German mass media reported that Putin is so angry with Zelensky that he never calls him by his name.

According to Deutsche Welle, Putin often sees the policy through the lens of personal relations and he is known to be sensitive to real and supposed disrespect. He is supposedly angry with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky who recently put Ukrainian opposition politician and businessman Viktor Medvedchuk under house arrest.

In July, Spokesperson of Russian President Dmitriy Peskov stated the absence of progress in the preparation for the meeting of Vladimir Putin and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.

At the beginning of July, Peskov stated almost the same about the meeting of two leaders. Kremlin’s speaker added that the words of Zelensky on the difference of people of two countries “do not fit in the process of preparation for the meeting of the leaders in any way”.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed the readiness to meet Volodymyr Zelensky but noted that it is necessary to understand first the issues of the talk.

Besides, Peskov stated that the meeting of the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky, is hampered by the failure to comply with the Minsk agreements to resolve the situation in Donbas, as well as the pressure of the head of the Ukrainian state on political opponents.
