President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called his Moldovan colleague Maia Sandu. During this telephone conversation, the two leaders discussed European integration of their countrues and implementation of joint initiatives. Press department of the Office of the President reported that on July 12.
During his telephone conversation, Zelensky said he'd hope that Ukraine and Moldova would coordinate their actions in an even more effective way. He mentioned the recently created Associated Trio with Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia being members of the bloc.
Besides, the leaders agreed that the bilateral economic cooperation needs boosting.
Zelensky congratulated his counterpart on the victory of pro-presidential party in the snap parliamentary election. He also invited Sandu to join the festivities timed to 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
On Sunday, the Central Election Committee of the Republic of Moldova processed 100 percent of bulletins and announced the results: most of the votes (52.80 percent) went to PAS, the party of president Maia Sandu.
