Zelensky has noted that the Pope is very expected in Ukraine.
"I invited him to Ukraine. I am sure that he will be in Ukraine - not only in the capital. I said that in order to fully understand what is happening in the east, we must go to the east," Zelensky said.
The President also noted the important role that the Holy See could play in bringing peace to Ukrainian soil.
"The main thing we talked about is peace. He even called me the "president of peace" - this is my image in Europe now," Zelensky said after the audience.
