President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky urged state authorities to develop a program of insurance for doctors from Covid-19. He stated this during a conference call, the press service of the President's Office reports.
"Volodymyr Zelensky noted that he required the development of a program of insurance for doctors from Covid-19," the statement said.
In addition, the Ukrainian leader stressed that he was concerned about the high occupancy rate of beds in medical institutions.
As we reported earlier, Japan is going to provide Ukraine with an experimental Japanese drug Favipiravir (Avigan) which can help in the treatment of coronavirus.
“We are very pleased that the Cabinet of Ministers has finally made an official decision to receive drugs with the common name favipiravir. The Japanese side was ready six months ago, and we will be able to send them to Ukraine in the near future, as soon as there is a corresponding order of the Ukrainian government for the embassy in Tokyo and exchange of necessary documents with the Japanese Foreign Ministry will take place," said Takashi Kurai, Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine.
