Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed representatives of the government with a demand to establish clear communication with citizens on the conditions of adaptive lockdown which went into effect today, on August 3. A relevant statement was published on the president's website.
"President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky urges the government to establish clear communication on the conditions of adaptive lockdown which comes into force today. It was stated during a traditional conference call on preventing the spread of coronavirus in response to information on the epidemic situation in Ukraine, provided by the government," says the statement.
According to Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, the incidence rate has risen to 82.8 per 100,000 population, bed occupancy in Transcarpathian region is almost 69%, and in Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne regions and Bukovyna - more than 40%.
As we reported earlier, as of early August 3, the total number of people infected with coronavirus in Ukraine exceeded 73,000.
