During his visit to the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky initiated the creation of a market of social services for the elderly in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President.
According to Zelensky, the state should create all conditions so that the elderly can receive proper quality social services. The President noted that legislative initiatives are needed to provide social services that would regulate all issues and allow both public and private institutions to work.
"Simply resolving the Kharkiv situation is not enough. We do not know how many such facilities there are left. Therefore, there will be legislative initiatives. People should receive normal, high-quality services. I think that there should be both private and public services. Whatever it sounds like, but we have to open such a market for fair social services in Ukraine," he said.
As we reported earlier, a two-story nursing house caught fire in Kharkiv on January 21, killing 15 people.
