President Volodymyr Zelensky granted Ukrainian citizenship to a number of foreigners; these individuals served in the Ukrainian military, protecting the country's teritorial integrity, sovereignty and independence. This is mentioned in the President's decree dated June 27.
The list of the citizens includes the follwing people: Dmytro Bilohortsev, David Gachechiladze, Abdul Jalil, Tachi Dzhafarov, Rudolph Yehorenko, Tengiz Zanadze, Giorgi Kakhniashvili, Valeriy Kolot, Merab Kontselidze, Mamuka Muzashvili, Yuriy Savilov, Levani Khutsishvili, Arslanbek Karimov and Yulia Tolopa.
Zelensky reiterated that these are the first decisions on providing the citizenship for those who protected the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Next decisions will be made after the State Migration Service provides the respective materials, and after the President considers them.
During his presidential inauguration speech, Zelensky said he was ready to give the citizenship to all those who intend to return to Ukraine and work for the sake of the country.
