The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the draft law on national communities is actively developing. He clarified that it is about national communities, not national minorities. The president stated this in a comment to journalists at Ukraine 30 forum.
Zelensky noted that the bill is almost ready.
"I think this is very important, national communities. No nationality in our country should feel like a minority, it should not feel less important or less protected or less happy. No one can be in the minority, because we are all citizens of Ukraine and we are all equal, we are all worthy, native, and this is our great state," the president said.
As it was reported earlier, Zelensky announced that Ukraine needed to develop a bill to protect the rights of minorities.
According to him, the bill should define the language and religion of minorities but the army is only one - Ukrainian.
