Today, June 13, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky conveyed the Cabinet of Ministers and law enforcement agencies for a conference call on the activity of Covid-19 spread. This was reported by the press service of the president.

“We need to carefully check the stores, markets, public transport - places where can be crowded. The responsibility for these gatherings lies on bodies and platforms that should ensure the safety prescribed by the Cabinet of Ministers,” said Zelensky.

The chairman of the National Police, Igor Klymenko, reported that over 12 500 administrative protocols on  violation of security requirements were drawn up during the quarantine.

As of June 13, Ukraine recorded 30 506 cases of infection. Of these, 13,976 people recovered and 880 died. The largest number of those who became infected are in Lviv, as well as in Kyiv.

When tough quarantine measures were introduced in Ukraine in March, the number of infected was less than 100 cases per day. Now the numberexceeds 700 per day. Despite this, the Ministry of Health and the government are not considering a return to strict restrictions. This is reported by chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko during an online briefing.

"The weakening of quarantine and an increase in the number of infected people - this shows the correctness of the strategy chosen by the state regarding the introduction of strict quarantine at the beginning of the epidemic. Now we are not considering a return to more stringent measures, since Ukraine introduced adaptive quarantine," he said in response to a question from journalists.
