President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expects that the U.S. State Department will appoint Special Representative on settlement of Donbas Conflict and de-occupation of Crimea as 112 Ukraine reported.
“Today I expressed the hope that the United States of America will be involved more actively in the processes of settlement of the conflict in the east of Ukraine and de-occupation of Crimea due to the appointment of the official from U.S. State Department on these issues,” the Ukrainian president said.
As we reported, U.S. State Secretary Mike Pompeo arrived in Ukraine to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Pompeo stated that the U.S. support for Ukraine is "unwavering".
“Good to be in Kyiv today. U.S. support for Ukraine is unwavering, and I am intent on underscoring this as I meet with Ukrainian government leaders to discuss ways we can advance our strategic partnership and reinforce Ukraine's position as a free and democratic state,” U.S. Secretary of State stated.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine was counting on the abolition of duties on steel imports on the part of the United States.
