President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on establishing a professional holiday in Ukraine - the Day of the winegrower and winemaker. The relevant decree is published on the president’s website.
"To establish a professional holiday in Ukraine - the Day of the winegrower and winemaker, which is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of November," the document reads.
Zelensky stressed the importance of this holiday for people working in this area.
"This is a symbolic step that emphasizes respect for this profession and it is not enough. The government and the relevant ministry must present a set of measures for the development of Ukrainian viticulture and winemaking," said the President during a visit to the Transcarpathian region.
As we reported earlier, according to Ambassador of Belarus to Ukraine Igor Sokol, the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Belarus is officially canceled.
“The Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine in Grodno in October was planned as the major event in the bilateral track. I would like to emphasize that initially, it has a solely economic nature…The official visit of Volodymyr Zelensky to Belarus was elaborated…Literally, recently, the Ukrainian side appealed to us with the initiative to postpone the forum for 2021,” Sokol said.
