Zelensky dismisses governors of Ukraine's three regions

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the governors of three regions as the presidential website reported.

According to the orders, Heads of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration Ihor Hundych, Rivne Regional State Administration Oleksy Mulyarenko, and Cherkasy Regional State Administration Oleksandr Velbovets were dismissed. All of the dismissals are connected with the end of the term of the authority of ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

Besides, Zelensky appointed acting governors; Taras Vysotsky serves in Cherkasy region, Ihor Tymoshenko in Rivne region and Yaroslav Lagut in Zhytomyr region.

Earlier, Zelensky dismissed 15 heads of regional state administrations.

Besides, the Ukrainian president dismissed Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleg Frolov from the military service to the reserve.

As we reported Ukraine’s PM Groysman wrote the resignation letter, dated May 20. He said he would resign on Wednesday, May 22. Groysman headed Ukraine’s Government since April 14, 2016.

However, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine refused to dismiss PM Volodymyr Groysman.
