President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky did not put the time frames for the leadership of the anti-corruption bodies to show the efficiency of work. He also promised not to defend the corrupt officials of the current authority, as Interfax-Ukraine reported citing Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Office (SAPO) Nazar Kholodnytsky.

“The mass media bent the fact a little, neither president nor any other person may put us some deadlines. In other words, the president did not put pressure on us, did not set the deadlines; the talk was about the fact that we have three months to show the changes in the state,” Kholodnytsky said, commenting the meeting with the Ukrainian leader.

According to the SAPO Head, the president offered him and Head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Artem Sytnyk to be a part of these changes. “I think it is normal. At least, I accept and absolutely support his offer in such form,” Kholodnytsky emphasized.

Answering the question about other offers of the president, SAPO Head noted: “First of all, there were no lists of people, whom we should arrest. The commitment of support of the independence took place; that if someone of the current authority becomes the part of the crime or even a suspect, there will be no defense from the side of the president”.

Earlier President Zelensky held the meeting with NABU Head Artem Sytnyk and SAPO Head Nazar Kholodnytsky.

Besides, Nazar Kholodnytsky met Trump’s lawyer Rudolph Giuliani and famous French jurist Charles Pratt in Paris.
