Zelensky congratulates China on Lunar New Year with Nepal’s image

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky wished the people of China a Happy Lunar New Year. The relevant message was posted on Zelensky's Twitter page.

In his post, Zelensky expressed hope for further development of Ukrainian-Chinese relations.

Initially, the president attached a photo of the ancient temple taken in Durbar Square in Kathmandu (Nepal) to his post, NV reports.

Nevertheless, the photo has been removed. Besides, Zelensky has also published his message in Chinese.

"On behalf of all Ukrainians and myself, I personally congratulate Chinese leader Xi Jinping and the friendly people of China on Spring Day. On the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and China, I reaffirm my commitment to further mutually beneficial cooperation," Zelensky wrote on a social network that is currently blocked in China.

As we reported earlier, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry received a protest note from China after the introduction of the sanctions against Chinese investors of Motor Sich Corporation.
