President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had met with the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and had spoken about peace in Donbas with him. Zelensky said this during a meeting of Ukrainian ships returned by Russia, which was aired on the TSN's Facebook page.

The Ukrainian leader said that he knew about Nazarbayev's thesis, which had been printed earlier, and said that it was a little bit different in reality. Zelensky noted that, according to the former president of Kazakhstan, a "face-to-face meeting" between the presidents of both countries is required for the improvement of Ukrainian-Russian relations.

"I told him (Nazarbayev-ed.) that I am ready for any formats for the sake of peace in Donbas and reclamation of our territories. That's what I said," Zelensky stated.

At the same time, Zelensky noted that Normandy Format is the main format for Ukraine now.

As we reported earlier, the first president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev offered Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet one-on-one, without the participation of the U.S., European society and other sides in Kazakhstan as NUR.KZ informed.

Nazarbayev stated that the incident between Ukraine and Russia is a sad moment. He offers Putin and Zelensky to meet one-on-one to solve the situation.
