President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has convened an urgent meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to determine measures for the immediate response of the state to threats to national security. This was reported on the president's website.
It is noted that the meeting will be held behind closed doors.
"The devastating blows inflicted on the country's achievements in the fight against corruption in Ukraine cannot be ignored. We need to conduct an immediate and harsh assessment of decisions made by individual subjects whose actions are becoming more socially dangerous,” Zelensky said.
The incumbent president invited the members of the National Security and Defense Council to discuss the necessary bills that would prevent such crises in the future.
As we reported earlier, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (CCU) has blocked the implementation of local election results.
"The CCU has, in fact, blocked the implementation of the results of the local elections. Thus the appointment of candidates elected to positions, in particular the chairmen of regional and district councils and their deputies, is possible only after they pass special inspections," the statement said.
