President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is convinced that the fifth president Petro Poroshenko has many sins behind him. He said this on the air of on “1+1” commenting on the opening of State Investigation Bureau’s case against Poroshenko on suspicion of treason regarding the signing of the Minsk agreements.
"I think there are a lot of different sins behind Petro Poroshenko and his entourage. It is very difficult for me to comment on this case (signing of Minsk agreements - ed.), but I would never have signed such a contract, such conditions," Zelensky said, adding that he had no influence on the State Bureau of Investigation.
However, the president added that conditions, under which Poroshenko signed such a variant of Minsk agreements are unknown. Therefore, Zelensky believes that in this situation he cannot judge whether Poroshenko is right or not.
As we reported earlier, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has opened a case against former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on state treason. SBI stated this in the message to lawyer and journalist Andriy Portnov, which he posted on his Telegram-channel.
The message states that Poroshenko could have committed state treason during the negotiations on the Minsk agreements.
Some European politicians have already condemned the actions of the Bureau.
