President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky turned to Andriy Parubiy, the Parliamentary Speaker asking him to convene an extraordinary plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on July 18. The head of the state urges the MPs to consider a few draft laws, which he submitted in the Parliament. This is mentioned in the letter that Zelensky sent Andriy Parubiy, the Speaker of the Parliament.
The president asked the MPs to consider the draft bills on seizing the illegal assets of government officials of various levels, on launching the work of Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, as well as and the one concerning the fines for the violated order of bringing transport vehicles on the customs territory of Ukraine.
Previously, Ruslan Ryaboshapka, the Deputy Head of the Office of President of Ukraine said that the extraordinary session of the Parliament would take place.
The current Parliament's convocation has only three days left before its cadence expires. On July 21, the snap parliamentary election is supposed to take place in Ukraine.
