President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked Belarus to provide “some support” as BELTA reported citing Belarusian President Aleksander Lukashenko.
Thus, the agency reported that the head of the state defined Belarusian-Ukrainian cooperation as one of the issues for the negotiation.
“It seems to be that we have not a bad relationship with Ukraine. We talked with the president (Volodymyr Zelensky, - 112.international). They asked for some support. What do we think, will we provide it or not?,” Lukashenko stated.
Earlier Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with his Belarus counterpart Aleksander Lukashenko. Lukashenko invited the President of Ukraine to visit Minsk at any time and in any format. Volodymyr Zelensky accepted the invitation.
Zelensky also confirmed the invitation to Lukashenko asking to visit Ukraine within the Second Forum of Belarussian and Ukrainian Regions which will take place in Zhytomyr in October 2019. Alexander Lukashenko accepted the invitation emphasizing that as the initiator and co-author of this event he sees its high effectiveness and advantage for the economics of both countries.
