Today, March 4, during an extraordinary meeting of the Parliament, MP from the European Solidarity faction Oleksiy Honcharenko called President Volodymyr Zelensky a character from the series Servant of the People, Vasyl Holoborodko.
“I just can’t understand who this is - Holoborodko or Zelensky? If Holoborodko, then an automaton should have appeared. And if Zelensky - who were you talking to? It was you who brought this government to power. It’s your fault that there's such a hole in the budget ... Therefore, your statement should have ended as follows: "I am to blame for the people of Ukraine," Honcharenko addressed the president.
Immediately after the MPs voted for the new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers, the president went to the seats where the faction of the European Solidarity party is located. There Zelensky refused to shake hands with MP Honcharenko and spoke to him in a raised voice.
Later, Oleksiy Honcharenko wrote in his Telegram channel that Volodymyr Zelensky asked him not to go personal with him.
"Many people wonder what Zelensky said. Zelensky came up and said: "Don’t get personal with me". I take this philosophically. Today, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych has become the most important oppositionist in the country. It's just to be honest with yourself, take and leave. Unfortunately, he forgot about himself. [He forgot] that he brought them [to power]," the MP wrote.
He also noted that the president needs to become a simple human being in order to stay in the history of Ukraine.
"Personalities just become politicians. Not characters in the series, but only personalities. If you want to stay in the history of Ukraine as a president, you will have to become that person, and not the hero of the series," Honcharenko wrote.
As we reported before, the Verkhovna Rada has accepted the resignation of Oleksiy Honcharuk from the post of Prime Minister and his government. 353 MPs voted "for" the corresponding draft resolution No. 3158
