President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Germany on a two-day working visit. This was reported by the press service of the President's Office.

The Ukrainian president will hold a number of meetings, in particular with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.

There will also be a meeting with the chairman of the Christian Democratic Union, Prime Minister of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia Armin Laschet.

Earlier, the new press secretary of the Ukrainian president, Serhiy Nikiforov, said that Zelensky would begin his visit to Germany on July 11.

Among the topics that will be raised during the visit are the damage to Ukraine and other European countries from the launch of Nord Stream 2, the strengthening of Germany's role in the Normandy format and in establishing peace in Donbas.

It is also known that after Zelensky's visit to Germany, Merkel will visit Washington, where she will meet with US President Joe Biden. The parties will discuss Nord Stream 2.
