President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky approved the structure of Ukraine's defense plan. This was stated in the presidential decree №61/2020, published on the website of the President's Office.
"In accordance with part three of Article 2 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On defense of Ukraine’ I hereby declare: to approve the structure of the plan of defense of Ukraine,” the message reads.
It is noted that the text is being added for official use.
Zelensky instructed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to ensure the development of a defense plan with the participation of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine and the National Bank, in accordance with the structure, approved by the decree, and submit it to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
As we reported earlier, Defense Minister Andriy Zahorodniuk expects that Ukraine will join the NATO Enhanced Opportunity Plan in October 2020.
“The accession of Ukraine to the NATO Enhanced Opportunity Plan is expected in October. It will be a great step for us. They also understand it and due to these reasons support it. There, in EOP, are a number of benefits for us,” the minister said.
