Presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky met with French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday, April 12. The press service of Zelensky posted the video of their meeting.
“The leader of the French Republic accepted the candidate for the presidency in Ukraine in his residence at Elysee Palace in Paris,” the report said.
Earlier, the press office of French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that the meeting with Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky would take place in Paris. On April 12, the French leader will meet both competitors for the presidential office.
The first meeting, the one with Zelensky, was slated for 3 p.m. Then, at 6 p.m. the two presidents were supposed to meet.
It was the second top-level meeting for Poroshenko on that day; before meeting with Macron, he was supposed to visit Berlin for negotiations with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
