Zelensky, Bolsonaro discuss possibility of increasing trade between countries

President of Brasil invited Zelensky to Brazil and agreed to his invitation to visit Ukraine next year

During his working visit to Japan, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Jair Bolsonaro, President of Brazil, and they discussed a number of economic issues and initiatives. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

It was noted that the prospects for cooperation in the space industry were also discussed. Ukrainian side suggested restarting a joint space project using the Alcantara cosmodrome.

The parties indicated that they are seeking to expand trade between countries.

"Brazil is our main trading partner in Latin America. I welcome the expansion of Brazilian companies' presence in Ukraine and Ukrainian ones' in Brazil," Zelensky said.

Zelensky suggested restoring a government commission in order to coordinate all positions in this direction. He also thanked Brazil for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

Bolsonaro invited Zelensky to Brazil and agreed to his invitation to visit Ukraine next year.
