Vadym Prystaiko, the deputy head of presidential administration of Ukraine does not rule out that a phone conversation could take place between head of the Ukrainian state Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The official said that as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
'We've got a lot of plans in terms of phone talks - and that, perhaps, may include Putin. Especially when it comes to the topics that matter to us. The previous president (Petro Poroshenko, - 112 International) talked to president Putin, as you remember', Prystaiko said.
Earlier on May 30, president Zelensky met with French Minister for Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian and German Federal Foreign Minister Heiko Maas. The sides exchanged views on conditions and further steps to activate the negotiation process in Donbas. Zelensky insisted that the return of all Ukrainian POWs would be his priority.
