Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plans to invite a large number of foreign leaders to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence Day. He stated this in an interview with Focus.

"A symbolic year is underway - the year of the 30th anniversary of our independence, this is a lift in the spirit, there is something to be proud of. I think that we will make a great holiday, we have a lot of ideas. I think that many foreign leaders who respect Ukraine will come," Volodymyr Zelensky said.

He added that 2020 was a difficult year and expressed hope that next year will become easier for the population. In addition, the economy is expected to pick up in 2021.

Earlier Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree according to which a military parade will be held on August 24 next year on Independence Day.

It is also planned to issue a commemorative coin, a postage stamp and an envelope on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence.
