The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has assigned Yulia Laputina to the post of the Minister for Veterans Affairs. 248 MPs voted in the favour of this decision
The online broadcast was conducted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"I am submitting a nomination for the candidacy of Laputina Yulia Anatoliyivna for the post of Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine... I am asking to support it," said Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.
Laputina took part in the defense of Kramatorsk airfield. In September-December 2014, she was the commander of the Security Service task force during the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) and performed the task of detaining members of the illegal armed formations.
As we reported earlier, the Ukrainian Parliament did not support the candidature of Yuriy Vitrenko for the position of the First Vice Prime Minister – the Minister of Energy.
He worked in Naftogaz-Ukraine for 18 years. He was the assistant of the deputy chairman of the board, head of detachments of corporate finance, chief adviser of chairman of the board, and an external advisor.
