Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak said that at a meeting of political advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four in Berlin, Ukraine did not promise to change the resolution on local elections, but only informed about the Verkhovna Rada's intention to consider the relevant document. Yermak stated this in an interview with the Ukraina TV channel.
“There were no obligations on the Ukrainian side regarding the revision of the resolution of the Verkhovna Rada, and this is impossible, because we cannot interfere in the activities of the Ukrainian parliament. We only informed our colleagues at the Normandy meeting that the Servant of the People party’s MPs supported the decree on amendments," Yermak said.
According to him, in the near future, the Ukrainian Parliament may consider amendments to the decree on local elections in Ukraine, specifically in the part that concerns elections in Donbas.
