‘The matter of convening the UN Security Council session is being considered. If necessary, we will convene it – even if it’s deep into the night’, Ukraine’s ambassador in the UN Volodymyr Yelchenko said at a briefing on Thursday.
The diplomat added that he is about to inform the Head of the Council and the UN Secretary General on the dangerous situation in Crimea. He remembered that back in 2008, Russia’s aggression in Georgia also started with contrived accusations.
