In 2010-2015, Volodymyr Yelchenko was the ambassador of Ukraine to the Russian Federation, since December 2015, he has been Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN.
Zelensky fired the ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valeriy Chaly on July 19, but the position remained vacant until December.
“Two or three hundred Russians work in the United Nations secretariat. I think half of them are FSB agents, either explicit or open,” Yelchenko said.
According to him, this situation has developed since Soviet times, when every second worker from the USSR was a direct agent of the special services.
