Lawyer Vitaliy Serdyuk, the defender of former president Viktor Yanukovych, said he’s going to represent his client during today’s interview at the Prosecutor General’s Office in Kyiv. Serdyuk said this in his commentary to UNN news agency.
‘I’ll be there. I’ll deliver a statement, indicating many important reasons why the defendant cannot be present during the interview, according to Article 138 of Ukraine’s Criminal Procedure Code.
Previously, Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine called Yanukovych for interviews on December 5 and 9. Former Ukrainian leader is suspected in state treason; the respective notice of suspicion was announced by Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, during the video interview with Yanukovych in Rostov on Don, Russia, on November 28.
