Ukrainian sailor Vasyl Soroka has been recovering slowly, even after the surgery on his wounded hand. The seaman's lawyer Serhiy Badamshyn reported that on Facebook.

'Vasyl is struggling for recovery, which lasts hard and slow. One minor swelling left on his arm, and it's painful. When the cast is removed, we'll see how much the arm and fingers have healed. So far, it's all bounded by the bandage', the lawyer wrote.

According to him, he congratulated his defendant on his birthday, which was April 11.

Vasyl Soroka is one of the 24 seamen illegally held by Russia; the sailors and the three vessels of the Ukrainian Navy were captured in Kerch Strait in November 2018. Russia claims they 'breached the naval border' and opened fire on the Ukrainian ships. Soroka and another two sailors were wounded in this firing incident.
