The wiretap was found at the cabinet of Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Anzhela Stryzhevska. It was set illegally as Larysa Sargan, the Spokesperson of Prosecutor General Larysa Sargan reported on Facebook.
The employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) were immediately called. The Prosecutor General’s Office (GPU) ties this case with the fact that Stryzhevska is the Head of the Prosecutor who support the administrative protocol against Artem Sytnyk, the Head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
“For the authorized wiretapping of the office of one of the GPU heads the permission is needed from the deputy prosecutor general of prosecutor general himself. Any of the prosecutor’s deputies, prosecutor general or SAPO Head authorized such wiretapping,” Sargan wrote.
The law enforcers opened the criminal proceeding due to this incident.
