The Pentagon will allocate the new aid package for Ukraine within the initiative to support the country's defense capacity. It will be worth 125 million U.S. dollars, Voice of America reports.

This initiative includes training programs, hardware and consultative services; it aims to help Ukraine's military save the country's territorial integrity, protect the borders and improve cooperation with the NATO.

Thus, the U.S. confrms its further intention to provide defensive lethal weapons for Ukraine so that it can protect itself from the Russian aggression more effectively.

The U.S. Department of Defense will provide the rest of the sum (150 million dollars, - 112 International) allocated for fiscal year 2021 when the Ukrainian side and the State Department confirm that this year, Kyiv showed enough progress in conducting the major defense reforms.
