White House ready to respond to impeachment articles

According to its official, White House has done all it can to prepare for the Senate trial

White House and U.S. President Donald Trump's legal team are readying for the next phase of the impeachment process, CNN reports.

"We have been prepared since before Christmas. And we remain prepared," a White House official said.

He also noted that White House had done all it can to prepare for the Senate trial while waiting for the House to name its impeachment managers.

As we reported earlier, U.S. House of Representatives will send formal impeachment charges against U.S. President Donald Trump to the Senate as early as next week. It was stated by its Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Reuters informed.

Democrats have demanded it include new witness testimony and evidence about the Trump's pressure put on Ukrainian authorities in order to probe ex-Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter. 

Meanwhile, former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden stated that he does not mind testifying in the Senate as part of an investigation into the impeachment of U.S. President Donald Trump.  

On November 18, U.S. House of Representatives impeached Donald Trump in a historic vote.
