White House denies plans of Trump, Putin meeting

Earlier Russian MFA official announced that the diplomats are preparing the meeting of the two presidents

The United States White House countered Russian assertion that a summit is being planned between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, amid questions in Washington about contacts between Donald Trump’s associates and the Kremlin. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Tuesday that practical preparations are being made for the meeting of the two leaders.

He noted that the place and date of the meeting has not yet been decided, but the preparations for the meeting are ongoing.

Earlier it was reported that Russia looked for good signs from Trump in his speech to Congress. Relations between two nuclear powers arecomplicated becaose of a number of issues, including Ukraine, Syrian war, and relations with Iran.
