If earlier you had to get used to the news related to the toughening of quarantine in Ukraine, now the government is gradually relaxing restrictive measures. And in June, quite a lot of easing is expected.
In addition, the first summer month prepared many other innovations, which we will now describe in detail.
Photo, video recording of violations on the road
Starting June 1, Ukraine will launch a system of automatic photo and video recording of traffic.
“First it will be 17 points, then about 40, all over the country we plan to have about 700 such points,” said Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.
It was expected that the system will fully work from May 1, but its launch was postponed until the end of the strict quarantine regime.
Checkpoints summer schedule
From June 1, all checkpoints in the Donbas area will switch to a summer schedule and work from 6:00 to 20:00. Despite this, entry and exit restrictions will continue to apply.
This means that it will still be possible to cross the demarcation line only by a separate decision of the commander of the Joint Forces in humanitarian emergencies.
“The presence of important life circumstances and a positive decision of the commander does not guarantee a successful crossing of the demarcation line. Russian mercenaries block such attempts and direct citizens to the so-called “gray zone,” border guards noted.
The staff of the Border Service urged Ukrainians to take into account information about changes in the operation of the checkpoints, quarantine, and the action of Russian armed forces.
Opening of pools and gyms
From June 1, it will be possible to visit the pools, fitness centers. Sports complexes will restore their work. Capital sports clubs also plan to open on this day in order to have time to prepare for new rules for receiving visitors.
Driving schools, recreation areas and beaches near ponds will also work in Kyiv on June 1.
Opening of kindergartens in Kyiv
Starting June 1, kindergartens will open in the capital. The Ministry of Health emphasizes that all workers and children should measure the body temperature - if it is above 37.2, then they will be forced to refuse entry.
Institutions should be equipped with antiseptics, but children can use them exclusively under the supervision of a teacher. Kindergartens must have a 5-day supply of all necessary protective equipment and disinfection.
Parents who bring the child should be in a medical mask, while children in the kindergarten are not required to wear them.
The use of reusable towels, soft toys, long-pile carpets, and street shoes in the kindergarten is prohibited. Also, one cannot hold mass events with the participation of children of more than one group and with the participation of spectators.
According to the Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov, its too early to open children's camps. This is planned at the last stage of the quarantine exit.
Starting June 1, Ukraine will resume rail passenger transport in urban, regional, and long-distance domestic traffic, as well as interregional passenger road transport.
According to the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krikliy, Ukrzaliznytsia will start selling tickets after receiving the decision of all regional commissions on issues of technological and environmental safety and emergency situations.
Simultaneously with all railway transport in the country, the city train will resume its work.
From June 3, a coin with a value of 10 hryvnias will go into circulation, which should gradually replace banknotes of the same denomination.
The National Bank of Ukraine notes that its introduction will complete the process of optimizing and updating the banknote-coin series of the hryvnia.
The diameter of the coin will be 23.5 mm, weight - 6.4 g, the portrait of the hetman Ivan Mazepa is depicted on the reverse, the obverse of the coin is framed by the ornament.
Uber Eats leaves the market
From June 3, the food delivery service Uber Eats will cease to operate in Ukraine. The company noted that this decision was not easy.
"Now the main thing for us is to minimize the consequences of closing the service for our employees, restaurants, couriers, partners, and users," said Uber Eats.
At the same time, the Uber travel booking service will continue to operate in Ukraine, as before.
Starting June 10, Ukraine will allow visits to restaurants premises, as well as activities of cultural institutions, and events with a limited number of visitors (given the area of premises).
At the first stage of the weakening of quarantine, cafes and restaurants were allowed to open summer areas for customer service.
From June 15, Ukrainians will be able to use the airlines. According to Vladyslav Krikliy, regular international flights will be restored with those countries that give their consent and will be ready to work with Ukrainians.
Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said that the restoration of air communication will take place, focusing on other countries.
Concerts and events
According to the Minister of Health Maxym Stepanov, it will be possible to talk about holding concerts and public events closer to June 22.
"Based on our epidemiological situation and according to our decree on quarantine in the country, which is extended until June 22, mass events are not provided at the stages that we have today, or the stage that will come after June 1 or after June 10 ", the minister noted.
