The key task for the Opposition Platform - For Life party would be the implementation of peace plan and solution of the hostilities in eastern Ukraine. Viktor Medvedchuk, the Head of Political Board of Opposition Platform - For Life party said that at the All-Ukraine Unification Convention of this political force. The event took place on June 6.

'Dear friends, honored colleagues! It's a memorable day for our party. It's all the more memorable because we hold this convention, which affects the fate of our country, on Ascension Day. The holiday (...) that marks the ascension of Our Lord to the skies after his earth service was done. The earth service is up to us now. We've got to carry on with it. On this day, we're starting to implement the program that would earmark our way to the victory; our path that ends in the finish line on July 21', Medvedchuk said.

“We have to bring peace to Ukraine. We must settle the situation in the east of the country and stop the hostilities. Our plan adopted in this hall at our party's convention on January 29 is being implemented. I want to report to you today what you know well, is that the peace plan-concept adopted by our party was supported and it was agreed to discuss and negotiate in Donetsk, Luhansk and Moscow,” he added.

Earlier, on January 29, at the Convention of Opposition Platform - For Life, Viktor Medvedchuk presented a plan for conflict resolution in the south-east of Ukraine. This plan is fully in line with the Minsk agreements approved by the heads of state of the Normandy Four (Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany), the UN Security Council Resolution, and what is very important, with the current Constitution of Ukraine, which is the Constitution of a unitary state providing for autonomous status of one of the regions.
