The recently established weekend lockdown will be in force for at least three weeks - from November 14 to November 30. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal during a government meeting.
According to the head of the Ministry of Health Maxim Stepanov, there is a possibility that it will be extended until December. The minister also called for a full lockdown in the country but stressed that the economy would not "survive" it.
As we reported earlier, at today's government session, the Cabinet of Ministers made a decision to introduce the weekend quarantine all across the country.
The strict quarantine will act from 00:00 a.m. Saturday until 00:00 a.m. Monday. On the weekend, only objects of the critical infrastructure, particularly, groceries, drug stores, and transport will work in the country.
The work of shopping malls, sports centers, fitness centers, swimming pools, theaters, and holding of mass events is banned.
Besides, the hosting of people in restaurants, cafes, and entertainment facilities is prohibited as well.
