The weekend quarantine in Ukraine may hold up to December 31, and even after that, it could be extended, too. Ukrainska Pravda reported that, citing a source in the Healthcare Ministry.
"The weekend quarantine will last from Saturday midnight till Monday midnight", the authority specified.
The source added that the respective decision is already there, but it's not documented yet. At that, the extension of the weekend quarantine will depend on the epidemiological background.
The recently established weekend lockdown will be in force for at least three weeks - from November 14 to November 30. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal during a government meeting.
According to the head of the Ministry of Health Maxim Stepanov, there is a possibility that it will be extended until December. The minister also called for a full lockdown in the country but stressed that the economy would not "survive" it.
As we reported earlier, at today's government session, the Cabinet of Ministers made a decision to introduce the weekend quarantine all across the country.
