Health Minister Maksym Stepanov assured that the situation with the coronavirus incidence in Ukraine had been stabilized. He stated this on the air of Ukraine 24 TV channel.
"We have stopped the hurricane of morbidity. We understand that the situation remains challenging. We may have an increase in the number of diseases in the near future," said Stepanov.
He reminded that Ukraine ranked 30th in Europe in the number of deaths from COVID-19 per million population. According to the minister, the actual mortality indicator in the country is at 1.7%.
As we reported earlier, according to Mykhailo Radutsky, the Head of the Parliamentary Committee for Public Health, vaccination against coronavirus will be free for the population of Ukraine.
"Firstly, the state will fully finance the free vaccination of the population against Covid-19. Secondly, the National Health Service of Ukraine will receive all the necessary funds for medical institutions dealing with the treatment of patients with coronavirus. In addition, the Budget Code will retain the requirement to finance the medical program. guarantees in the amount of at least 5% of GDP," he said.
