In the next few hours, Viktor Medvedchuk, the Chairman of the Political Council of Opposition Platform - For Life Party will meet with the leaders of unrecognized republics. This was stated by Co-Chairman of the Opposition Platform - For Life Party Vadim Rabinovich.
“I announce that in the next few hours, a direct meeting will take place between the Chairman of the Political Council of our party, Viktor Medvedchuk and the leadership of self-proclaimed republics. Because it’s either you move to peace or to lie about peace, it is necessary to take steps, even though they are not always popular. However, you are moving to the peace, you are an honest man. People, dear friends, if a person, a politician of our country, in a situation in which we all are, does not strive to peace - he is a criminal to his country. We promised, and we are doing it,” he said.
“This is not the last news you will hear - prisoners will be released with God's help. There will be direct talks, there will be tariffs reduction, and nobody will stop us. I do not understand why we someone should interfere with it. What is so anti-Ukrainian about establishing peace? What is so anti-Ukrainian in the reduction of tariffs by 25%, that you need to initiate criminal proceedings? What is so strange here? That people will live better than they wanted? Only it will not be them who will luxuriate? What is so terrible that there the criminal cases should be opened? We are not afraid of their criminal cases, we are not afraid of them and will establish peace and with you we will establish it,” Rabinovich said.
As it was reported earlier, the negotiations on the release of the prisoners continue and the work in this direction has not stopped as Viktor Medvedchuk stated it on the results of the meeting with Gazprom Head Aleksey Miller in Saint Petersburg.
On March 22, the delegation of Opposition Platform - For Life party headed by Viktor Medvechuk and Yury Boiko held the negotiations on a number of the economic issue with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Gazprom’s Head Aleksey Miller.
