Ukraine does not actually maintain any diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation, they are minimized.

This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin during a press conference on Friday, January 18, in Kyiv, reports 112 Ukraine.

"We do not actually have any diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation. They are minimized to an absolute minimum, which is aimed only at protecting our citizens. But we are looking for a formula. And as soon as we find this formula, we will definitely apply it. We are certainly approaching to it, "said Klimkin.

According to him, consultations are continuing with countries that could represent the interests of Ukraine regarding the protection of Ukrainian citizens in the territory of the Russian Federation.

He noted that there are now more than 2.5 million Ukrainian citizens in Russia, as well as 70 political prisoners.
