The killers of the former State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov - Yaroslav Levenets and Pavel Parshov, were trained in the territory of the Russian Federation. This was told by the first deputy prosecutor of Kyiv Pavlo Kononenko on the air of Direct TV channel.
"Both Levenets and Parshov, being wanted, were in the territory of the Russian Federation. And we can not say that they could not fall under the control of the FSB. And when they arrived and were in the ranks of the National Guard, they were well prepared. Levenets was the head of the department, Parshov was a fighter. Both were authoritative, shot well, ran well. Levenets conducted sport classes on combat hopak. Parshov was a good boxer. They are really trained militants, "the prosecutor stressed.
We recall, on October 9, Attorney General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said that the General Prosecutor's Office completed the investigation of the murder of former State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov.
“At the moment all persons, apart from a very important one, are being identified, because it has been a while, a few months, that we have been looking for this person. I can say only one thing: the instigator is in Russia, and the person is connected to Russian criminal circles. The perpetrators were mostly citizens of Ukraine, most of them, against whom we have evidence, are detained,” he said.
The former MP of the Russian State Duma Denis Voronenkov was shot in the downtown of Kyiv on March 23 at the intersection of Pushkinska and Shevchenko streets near the hotel ‘Premier Palace’. The body guard of the former MP injured the attacker. The medical workers tried to save the life of the shooter but he died in the hospital.
The shooter is the citizen of Ukraine, born in 1988 Pavlo Parshov. He was born in Sevastopol and was enlisted by the Russian special services and had the aim to infiltrate the Armed Forces of Ukraine or National Guard.
The Holosiivo District Court of Kyiv extended the pre-trial restriction in terms of detention for 36-years old citizen of Pavlograd, Dnipropetrovsk Region Yaroslav Tarasenko on August 10. He was detained on suspicion of implication in the murder of Voronenkov. He is accused of intentional homicide committed by the previous concert, group of persons and provided by the part two, article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
